DJ Jawbone (Grant McKeown) is a Toronto DJ, producer, and promoter with over 30 years in underground dance music. As the founder of Dubslingers, Toronto's longest-running dubstep weekly, he helped shape the city's bass music scene from 2006 to 2019, introducing audiences to dubstep while championing reggae, dub, jungle, drum & bass, and soundsystem culture. A veteran of festivals including Harvest Festival and OM Reunion Project, and rave events such as Delerium and Liquid Adrenaline, Jawbone has shared lineups with artists including Stevie Hyper D, Nicky Blackmarket, Bizzy B, Mickey Finn, Benny Page, Zeds Dead, and Skrillex. He is also the founder of Top Amen Music, a Toronto label dedicated to amen-driven jungle, and co-founder of The Bad Dads, a project with Sixteenarmedjack and Enlight that reimagines classic rave, R&B, and yacht rock through a jungle lens. Known for deep selections and infectious energy, Jawbone continues to connect generations of dance music culture through his unmistakable Toronto sound.
