Marinko is a DJ and creator based in Niagara On The Lake, Ontario. Taking the fun of playing records seriously, Marinko has become a trusted figure in the party scene in Canada and in Croatia, where he holds a summer residency at two beautiful coastal venues. Marinko works closely with Stratus Vineyards, Dispatch Restaurant, Backhouse Restaurant, Old Stone Inn Boutique Hotel, SRC Vinyl, Limited Distillery and The Sound (a monthly publication). Marinko released records with Vergel Evans aka Nigil Caenaan as <<machine>> independently, which got picked up by Ghostly International and featured on a 2019 compilation. Marinko's original compositions were also released by Karri O. on Mono Records, Helsinki, Finland and Marinko's lyrics and spoken word were featured on DJ Karri O's "The Hits" on Resopal Records, Berlin with a remix by Oliver Koletzki. Marinko plays an inclusive and eclectic spectrum of music and is interested in the intersection of the visual and the auditory. Marinko is currently immersed in a project involving obsolete technology and deep listening, to shift a focus back to listening and movement.
