After working for several years as music man for the Superdogs family entertainment show and playing the same disco and trance tracks over and over to millions of hyped-up kids as dogs jumped neon hurtles, safetydept (aka Dan Browne) opted to start dropping paycheques on vinyl, gradually seeking out the best from the UK bass scene and building up a collection dedicated to the foundation sounds of space, bass, pace and sonic innovation. He currently performs at festivals in Ontario (Om Reunion Project, All Stars, Landscapes...), local events in Toronto (Darkwalkers, Archi-Textures, Dubslingers...), and leads many alternative lives as as filmmaker, student and event organizer.
